Frequently asked questions

How do I create my first habit?

Open the app and tap the ➕ button on the habit board. Pick a name, schedule (daily, weekdays, X per week, or specific days), and whether you're tracking a positive habit (something you want to do) or a negative one (something you're avoiding). You can also choose between a simple check-off and a count-based target.

How do herds work?

A herd is a small group of people who can see each other's habit activity. Create a herd from the Herds tab and share the join link, or join an existing herd with a code from a friend. You choose which habits to share with each herd — anything not shared stays private.

Can I use HabitHerd without sharing my data?

Yes. The app works fine as a solo tracker. You don't have to join or create a herd, and any habit you create is private by default until you share it.

How does Apple Health integration work?

Grant HealthKit permission in Settings → Health Sync. The app will read steps, workouts, sleep, and heart rate so you can see them alongside your habits. Health data stays on your device unless you explicitly link a metric to a habit you're sharing.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your habits, herds, timeline posts, and personal data. There's no undo, so export anything you want to keep first.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

Email support@habitherd.com with the steps to reproduce, what you expected, and what actually happened. A screenshot or screen recording helps a lot. Please include your device model and iOS version.

How do I reset a streak that was lost to a sync issue?

Email support@habitherd.com with the habit name and the date(s) involved. We can usually restore lost completions when there's a clear data issue.

Is HabitHerd available on Android or web?

Today HabitHerd is iOS-first. A web companion exists for the desktop experience and Android is on the roadmap. Sign up at habitherd.com to get notified when new platforms ship.
